The sanctuary's owner, Paula Campbell (pictured), has already lost her bungalow, which was due to be turned into a cattery and small animal unit.
The Rainbow Ark Animal Sanctuary in Durham is in desperate need of funds after falling victim to property fraud.
The total amount Paula needs is £18,500. Donations have been made, kind people have also donated animal feed and bedding, and Paula is out collecting money and selling whatever she can - but there is not much left to sell. Paula suffered another blow when the sanctuary's website was recently taken down through no fault of her own. Thankfully, due to the tireless efforts of a wonderful supporter, a new website is now online. Please visit and join up at no cost to you - and please email as many people as possible with the address of the new website: http://www.rainbowark.co.uk/. Click the ‘Save The Ark’ banner below to go straight there!
Due to the complex nature of the fraud, Paula is undergoing an appeal and a claim for compensation, but pending the outcome of both, is still required to meet the bank's demands.
Another way to help is to buy a book that Paula wrote, called Norah A Chicken - follow the links on the new website to find out how you can be the proud owner of this lovely little story book! Every penny of your donation to The Rainbow Ark will mean the precious gifts of security, warmth, life and most importantly, hope for every animal.
